Dennis Rader, the Wichita, Kansas man convicted of the BTK murders, has been named the prime suspect in unsolved killings in Oklahoma and in McDonald County, Missouri, according to Osage County, Oklahoma Undersheriff Gary Upton.
Upton told Associated Press Rader is suspected in the 1990 death of Shawna Beth Garber, 22. Garber's body was discovered in December 1990, but wasn't identified until 2021.
According to the AP article, McDonald County Sheriff Rob Evenson told KSNF/KODE that Rader, 78, who is serving five consecutive life sentences in a Kansas prison for 10 murders, has denied any involvement with Garber's murder.
At this point, Evenson said, there is no direct evidence linking Rader to the McDonald County case.

This is absurd, lazy police work. BTK knows he is never getting out. The man revels in talking about his doings. He would have talked about this long ago.
So a guy who had national level interest and investigators but only was ever convicted on KS charges somehow drove basically 5 hours away in the analog days and did this?
I HIGHLY, HIGHLY doubt it.
Cops suck around here geezus. Likely to be a local that she possibly knew bc that’s the norm. A serial killer outside of his zone is unlikely af. Couldn’t roll my eyes harder.
