The Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's office filed driving while intoxicated and felony resisting arrest charges against a Diamond man after he led the Carthage Police Department on a chase with speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour.
After Preston ran a stop sign, according to the statement, the officer decided to pull him over, Preston continued driving, weaving in and out of multiple lanes and ignoring stop signs.
Preston admitted to the officer he had been smoking marijuana/THC wax less than two hours before the pursuit.
The probable cause statement notes that Preston has a lengthy criminal history including possession of a controlled substance, possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property. domestic assault by strangulation, robbery by force, fraudulent use of a credit card/debit device and driving while suspended.

Christopher Michael Preston, needs to be locked up for a long time. With his long Criminal Past - he shouldn't be out on the Streets in the first place endangering the Public while driving over 100mph - We have got to Stop Being Soft on Criminals and Giving them Multiple Chances to Hurt or Kill someone in Society.

I think that everybody deserves a second chance and people should not be talking s*** behind his back I'll tell you what I got that mother f*****'s back all the way and he should not be arrested and put in jail for a long ass time
