Stouffer: Americans tired of Skelton playing yes man to Nancy Pelosi

During a campaign stop n Marshfield last week, Sen. Bill Stouffer, R-Saline County, who is challenging Ike Skelton for the Fourth District Congressional seat linked the incumbent with the woman who has become a symbol of liberalism, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi:

“As I travel the district, I constantly hear that folks have simply had enough of the same old Washington-style politics,” Stouffer wrote. “They’ve had enough of big government, enough wasteful spending and enough of Ike Skelton consistently saying ‘yes’ to Nancy Pelosi’s liberal agenda.”

Stouffer said Skelton has grown out of touch with his district.

Must be nice to only remember what he wants to remember. We didn't hear him complaining when the Bush administration and Republican Congress ran up monumental deficits. And we have to remember that Nancy Pelosi doesn't represent Mo., so why does Stouffer act like he's running against her. And, speaking of bailing out select businesses, I can guarantee that Stouffer didn't fail to line up for farm subsidies, etc. when he was farming. Maybe it's only a bad idea to bail out businesses other than your own.

Stouffer was a Mo state Senator, he was not in the national arena in order to comment on the Republican Congress. And indirectly, he is running against Pelosi's ideas because Ike votes with her over 95% of the time. That is too high of a percentage to be a coincedence.

Stouffer want to help curb this recod deficit and debt that is accrueing in Washington and which our children will have to pay for.
