Great Nodler parade controversy resolved

A commenter on a Turner Report item Saturday said that while Seventh District Republican GOP candidates Billy Long and Sen. Jack Goodman had volunteers with them at the Carthage Maple Leaf Parade yesterday, Sen. Gary Nodler did not.

This photo arrived this afternoon from the senator's assistant, Jake Heisten, , showing Nodler and his volunteers. I am happy to clear up that piece of misinformation.

While the commenter stating there were no volunteers was obviously wrong, this photo has 17 people(including Nodler)...not the 40 to 50 people that was implied by the Nodler supporter.

The Nodler supporter said about 20 and 17 is pretty close. No comment from any Nodler supporter implied 40 or 50 but another comment said 40 to 50 thousand were watching. The problem here is once again a false claim, this time against Nodler supporters rather than Nodler but the anti-Nodler forces coninue to prove that they can't get close to the truth.

It may be interesting to note that most of the volunteers are not old enough to vote.

13 of the group are old enough to vote or will be by election day, 4 are not(don't forget the volunteer behind the camera taking the picture). It is clear that Nodler's volunteers are pretty representative of all age groups other than those too old to walk in parades. So once again we see how Anti-Nodler folks think and their view of reality, to them 4 is "most" of 17. Once again they are not truthful or even close to being. Nodler is also the only candidate that had no paid campaign staff walking with him, all were volunteers. Nodler had more voting age volunteers walking by far than any other candidate. It isn't really that important an issue the important thing is to see how those who oppose Nodler lie.

Oppose Nodler = Liar?

That's a stretch. While I would agree that SOME who oppose Nodler, including our esteemed host, look for every little thing to complain about it's ridiculous for the Nodler operatives to make a blanket statement about how the opposition lies (boo hoo, poor Gary, they just don't see his genius)

Some will vote for the good senator, others will make a better choice. Doesn't mean those of us voting against him are liars...

You know this last comment is right, not all who oppose Nodler lie, some just disagree with him. If I were like Turner I would either ignore your comment or deny it, but I will thank you for calling my attention to the overstatement and recant. What is true to say is that many on here do lie about Nodler and until your comment; every anti-Nodler comment on this subject has been a lie. But I thank you for calling attention to the fact that I was guilty of overstatement myself.

I am neither a Nodler supporter or detractor, but I will point out that at least some of the people in the photo are his family members. Just a fact--add your own spin.

Two of the 17 are members of Nodler's family. What is your point? Goodman had at least twice as many family members in a smaller group but so what? No one knows why Long's family didn't show up to support him, hardly anyone did except paid staff, but again...whats your point?
