Memoirs reveal more about Bonnie and Clyde

Those interested in Joplin history might want to check out a column in the Dallas Morning News that explores recently uncovered memoirs of the late Blanche Barrow, who was married to gangster Clyde Barrow's brother, Buck.
The column features Blanche Barrow's recollection of the violent relationship between the over-romanticized Bonnie and Clyde during their stay in a garage apartment in Joplin. The column can be found at:

Thanks to your blog, I read that account, and got a different vision of "B&C" than the one offered by that 1960s Warren Beatty movie and literally hundreds of books by self-proclaimed experts. Far from being the Robin Hood of the Great Depression as he is so often depicted, Clyde Barrow was a sawed off, cold blooded little punk who killed anyone who got in his way. Nice to see someone finally acknowledging that. And it was also surprising to note that Blanche was far from the wide-eyed innocent (some say dumb) little Oklahoma gal she's always portrayed as being. Her only crime was loving a man who had a rotten kid brother.
