A July 13 hearing has been scheduled for Brandon Kahl, 25, Lamar, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of two-year-old Alexander Cole...but it has nothing to do with the child's death.
Barton County Circuit Court records indicate that Kahl's hearing is in connection with a breach of contract lawsuit filed against him June 16 by Barton County Memorial Hospital.
No hearing has been scheduled for the manslaughter case, according to court records. Kahl is free on $15,000 bond, which includes the stipulations that he have no contact with anyone under the age of 17 and he must live with either his father, Terry Kahl, or with his grandmother, Lucille Kahl.
