The village of Wentworth, one of the smallest communities in Newton County, will have its first storm warning siren, according to a news release from Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt.
Blunt notified Wentworth Board of Trustees Chairman Clyde Stephens that the U. S. Department of Agriculture approved a $10,870 grant for the siren. The village will pay for 25 percent of the cost, according to the news release.
