Today's Joplin Globe features an article by Andy Ostmeyer on the Joplin R-8 School District's accomplishments, which were mentioned in a post Thursday.
No problems with the article, but considering the TV stations and Joplin Daily all had coverage of this on Wednesday night, and also considering the importance of the public schools to Joplin, some depth would have been appreciated.
One question to ask: How much room would have been allotted to the story if the R-8 School District has finished in the bottom 10 schools in the state?

Globe's struggling to get a paper (plus a weekly, plus a shopper, plus a website, plus a fluffed-up Sunday paper) out, let alone cover the news.
