Anyone who knows Fred Ferrell personally, as I do, knows him to be a visionary individual who exemplifies competence, strength and integrity. Fred has dedicated his life and career to Missouri agriculture, and for that we all owe him and his family a great deal of gratitude.
Kruse makes no mention of the tawdry circumstances that led to Ferrell's dismissal. Apparently Kruse, who once held the agriculture director position, believes that agriculture is a man's world.

I guess I am not sure why this is worth so much of your time, Randy. It happened, he resigned under pressure, someone will sue for harrassment and that's it. Why keep kicking a dead horse? Isn't there any other worthy news stories out there?

What Mr. Ferrel did was an abuse of power, abuse of women, and abuse of the public trust (see writing checks out of the Dept. of Ag account for attempted bribery). I guess Mr. Kruse and anon1 see nothing wrong with this. Sort of makes you wonder, doesn't it.
A lawsuit should be the least of Mr. Ferrell's worries.
The Gov has a few worries himself of his own making. I'm sure he would prefer that this issue be a dead horse. I would say his political goose is now cooked.

it isn't that I don't like the "ugly stuff" sarcastic one, but we've been reading the same details over and over about it on the blog. I see a lot wrong with it, but the man has lost his job - rightfully so, and the Gov. is being watched very carefully so isn't there any other news out there? That was all I was saying. Jeez.
I agree with anon1. Why aren't we hearing about something relevent, like for example, whatever happened to Anna Nichole Smith, or what bizarre behavior is Britany engaging in? You know, stuff we need to know to be fully engaged citizens.
Randy, you keep typing but all I see is Blah, Blah, BLAH. I cannot believe you let the Globe beat you to the Joplin Workshop laying off employees. Way to go Tunnel Vision!
Thanks for the compliment. Obviously, this blog has come a long way when a reader comments about me getting beaten to a story by the Globe.

Sounds like Tunnel Vision can dish it out but can't take it.
Theoretically, the Globe has an entire staff of reporters. One can only guess after reading the Globe that they spend most of their time out covering the lost dog, speeding tickets, and Ladies Auxillary meetings.
