Hacker begins work at Carthage Press

I haven't seen the byline yet, but I have been told former Joplin Daily Editor John Hacker has started working at The Carthage Press.
The Press was able to absorb Hacker's salary without releasing any full-time staff members, but reportedly the newspaper had to cut its stringers.

Yes, all four stringers were fired on Monday. But moving Hacker to Carthage was an excellent move on GateHouse's part. The Press has fallen into a bastion of mediocrity the past few years, thanks to the uninspired leadership of Ron Graber and the underachieving Michael Davison. Hacker should be able to jump-start the Press and hopefully restore it to the glory it once had.

Did Hacker get his potato chip allowance at the Press? That probably would have paid for one stringer right there.

I have to give pringles credit. John, you do need to cut down on the potato chips buddy.

I have deleted three remarks which used language which I will not permit on this blog. There are plenty of blogs that do permit that type of talk, please go to one of them and post comments to your heart's content.

Perhaps Hacker should seriously consider acquiring stock in Pepsi-Cola/Lays? He does love those big, salty chips. Plain too... *shudder*

Give me flavor or give me death!
