In his latest commentary for KBIA, Jsson Rosenbaum addresses the overkill in the coverage of Michael Jackson's death, as well as how other frivolous items are addressed in the news while matters of substance are overlooked. Rosenbaum also mentions this blog in his commentary:

I hadn't planned to listen to the funeral but due to unforseen circumstances, did. I didn't think it warranted live coverage.
Tonight, when they started a recap on what appeared to be all the networks, I flipped it over to pbs. Couldn't take any more.
