Billy Long on Obama speech: I was disappointed

Seventh District Congressional candidate Billy Long issue the following news release after President Obama's healthcare speech:

“I was disappointed to watch President Obama continue to promote his misleading health care plan, which will not improve access to quality health care for people in southwest Missouri. The President missed an opportunity to put aside his original, partisan proposal and attempt to work together with Republicans on a plan to help all Americans. Instead of a government takeover of health care filled with mandates, we should be promoting policies that can work such as issuing tax credits to allow people to purchase health care, allowing small businesses to pool together to purchase insurance at lower rates, reforming medical malpractice laws, making it easier for people to transfer their health insurance when leaving a job or moving to another state, and ensuring that patients and doctors are in charge of their health care.”

Billy Long is full of crap. Obama's speech was an attempt to tell the truth after many lies had been told and re-told to the American people by conservative Republicans, many of whom are paid handsomely by Insurance companies, drug companies, hospital and health-care conglomerates, and big business, who all fear the main part of the new healthcare plan -- regulation and laws to prevent the fleecing of the American public.

That's funny, because Obama specifically proposed all of those things Long accused him of not proposing.

Health care or not, I’m partisan to a president that can lower my taxes and fix what the housing market “greed” created… Just get the job market back up and avoid more scams…
