Clay County Tea Party speaker rips into Blunt
It wasn't just Democrats who were on the receiving end of criticism at the Clay County Tea Party today in Kearney. In the accompanying video, speaker Andrew Palmer blasts Seventh District Congressman Roy Blunt's vote on the Cash for Clunkers program:

since when have you become a fan of tea party people? ...only if they bad mouth someone you don't like....you dislike them, but don't mind stooping to "their level" to use something they say against someone who's in your craw....
You cannot find anything in that post that would suggest that I have become a tea party fan. I posted the link because Roy Blunt is our Congressman and is running for U. S. Senate. When he is criticized in public like this, even if it is at a tea party gathering, it is news.
Poor Mr./Mrs. Anonymous and his/her unwillingness to publicly own up to their comments. Maybe you could explain to me what "my level" really is? I am just curious if you took the nine minutes to actually listen to what I had to say? Or, maybe took a few minutes to think about what a lot of the tea party movement is really asking for. I suppose I am asking to much.
Yes, I am a fiscal conservative and yes, I have reservations about Roy Blunt's willingness to follow through on fiscal conservative principles. Voting for Bush's initial bailout and his willingness to support the moronic welfare program for auto dealers puts him on my low list of politicians.
I am tired of the R and D game, I have been tired of it for years. I spent years in the Libertarian Party hoping the main two parties would listen instead they haven't and have both continued to spend like drunken sailors. Our debt is now 13 trillion dollars, the unfunded liabilities in the Social Security and Medicare systems is nearly 60 trillion. This is what the tea parties are about, people are fed up with the spending in this country.
Randy maybe you could clarify something for me. Your response to Mr./Mrs. Anonymous seems rather superficial in nature. It sounds almost as if you just posted it to help defeat Roy Blunt instead of argue for any point of view. Not trying to be rude here, just trying to understand where you are coming from.
I posted it mainly because it mentioned Roy Blunt, and therefore it is news for the people who make up most of the readership of the blog. The Turner Report serves both as a news blog, an investigative blog, and a place where commentary is offered. Where I probably differ from you is that I have no objection to the government having a role in people's lives, but I firmly believe that you have to keep an eye on the government at all times; it is when no one is watching that mismanagement and corruption take hold.

Randy,
Thanks for posting my video.
