The bill calls for capping contributions for statewide office at $2,000, and setting limits at $1,000 for state senators, $500 for state representatives, $325 for any other office if the population is under 100,000, $850 if it is between 100,000 and 250,000, $1,275 if the population is more than 250,000.The bill would also prevent legislators from becoming lobbyists until they were out of office for two years, bar political fundraising in government buildings, and stop legislators from working as paid campaign consultants.

$500 limit per election cycle from individuals, corporations, political action committees or political party committees.
No contributions from other elected officials or candidates political committees.
Political Action Committees must be registered with Missouri Election Commission and file regular reports with full disclosure of campaign contributions to candidates.
Limit expenditures to $50,000 for state representatives, $100,000 for state senators, and $1,000,000 for statewide office per election cycle.
Do not allow any other expenditures from any sources for any candidate.
Ban all gifts to any Missouri office holder.
Pretty simple but would be totally opposed by the news media who collects all of the money.
This would put the Mavis Buseck operation out of business. Whoops, she is already out the door, I hope.
