Retired billionaire Rex Sinquefield continues to spread lies about teacher tenure in this Jason Rosenbaum video.
He cites studies done by his own Show-Me Institute, talks about how good teachers are run off during their first few years while bad teachers just go on and on.
That is ridiculous. The idea that there are scores of good teachers getting out of the business at the beginning of their careers while others continue year after year, with no discernible skills just to pick up a paycheck is nonsense.
In more than 30 years as a teacher and reporter, I have seen far more people leave teaching in their first few years because they were not cut out to be teachers and contrary to the lies that have been spread by Sinquefield and his bought and paid for legislators, there are many subpar teachers, including ones with tenure, who have been let go by their schools.

Thank you for posting this. I was the former Ferguson Florissant school board member confrounting him.

Rex just wants more for his cronies. Everyone should tell Rex to leave public education alone. I look around our schools and I see quality, caring teachers and students learning everyday.
