THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPRINGFIELD HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND FREEZING DRIZZLE...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO MIDNIGHT CST TUESDAY MORNING.
* TIMING AND AREAS AFFECTED...SNOW WILL BEGIN TO FALL OVER EXTREME
SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND THE MISSOURI OZARKS EARLY MONDAY MORNING.
* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF AROUND TWO
INCHES OR LESS IS FORECASTED OVER MOST OF THE REGION.
* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE TENTH OF AN INCH OR
LESS IS POSSIBLE OVER AREAS ALONG AND EAST OF A LINE FROM JOPLIN
TO LAKE OF THE OZARKS.
* IMPACTS...ROAD SURFACES WILL BECOME SLICK AND HAZARDOUS ON
MONDAY. AREAS ALONG AND WEST OF THE HIGHWAY 65 CORRIDOR...WILL
POSSIBLY EXPERIENCE SLICK ROADWAYS DURING THE MONDAY MORNING
COMMUTE TO WORK OR SCHOOL.
