Dang those Title One funds are handy!
I'm sure those iPads will be wonderful Title One teachers. Who needs real humans when technology is available?
These people have no shame. But they may experience deep regret shortly.
Does anyone on the Board understand the rules for using Title One funds? It wouldn't appear so.
6:29, Title funds absolutely can be spent on technology, as long as the devices stay in the building that funded the purchase. I think the issue is that Joplin cut a lot of Title/Reading positions at the end of last year (all part-time, if I'm not mistaken) and appears to be replacing those teachers with technology. This move supports accusations that Joplin Admin does not care about its staff or students, but merely wants to run as an innovative business on the cutting edge.
Like the consultants say over drinks after they cashed the check: You want to play on the cutting edge, then don't complain when you see the blood.
