Is this any way to treat a historic 6 1/2 mile ribbon?

Thanks to the reader who sent me this photo. Apparently, once the dignitaries and the television cameras are gone- well, I won't make any more cutting remarks about the ribbon.

Pick that up! That is money and history.

Typical CJ. Once you cease to serve hus purpose, you are thrown in the streets.

This only historic thing about today is the colossal waste of time and money for a photo op for huffandpuff and Joe Mama.

CJ's math and logic: 6 1/2 miles at $100 an inch = $56 Billion. Lets spend some more!

Come on, Randy. What are they supposed to do with the ribbon at the very end of the event? Put it in a glass coffin and bury it? I support you most of the time, but, really, this one is ridiculous.

Mission Accomplished!

Hey does anyone remember Commander Codpiece?

Your point is well made Randy. The ribbon was supposed to pay for itself. Quit stealth writing CJ hacks. We truly fear retaliation. You just expose yourself to questionable credibility. Anonymous...............

"I support you most of the time." Camouflage. Now no one suspects me as a CJ hack. Are'nt I clever.

Please remember that the guests were just that--invited guests--and that politics were never mentioned. If you don't like the guests who were invited, remember, your district's superintendent and his slaves on his school board created the day and the agenda, which was, as you asserted, nothing but a photo op for CJ. The most anyone can hope for is that he will get a job somewhere else, and very soon. His board, represented by his head cheerleader yesterday, will never be able to bring back the district that he, and they, destroyed.

One of the many idiotic defenses of the ribbon idea was that it would be sold, as mementos, for $1.00 a section to the expected 10,000 people who would be there. There were not 10,000 people there and not an inch was sold. A few people cut off their own pieces, but truly, the students didn't want it. No one really did or does yet, but it will be foisted off on staff and students next week, from what is out there on Facebook. I hope taking it is something that is voluntary. And I hope that most of the miles and miles of ribbon end up in CJ or Anne's yard. It is a waste of resources that will just add to the landfill. Sheer extravagance for a building that is dysfunctional and nowhere near finished.

He's just mad that no one wanted to "put their hands on that ribbon". Haha The only ones he could get to watch him make a spectacle of himself were the ones he forced to come!

I do think the student who was the emcee did a wonderful job. She was more mature and professional than some on the platform. What was most disturbing was CJ crying yet again. If we had a female superintendent who cried at every public appearance, there would be serious questions about her emotional stability. Maybe it's time to raise this question with our current superintendent.

If he cries uncontrollaby, he is emotionally unstable. If he cries on cue, he is a manipulative charlatan.

Exactly! It seems all that talk about selling it and making back the $11,500 spent on it was a lie like everything else. CJ just wanted publicity...it's not about the kids, the schools, or the community, it's a chance to pat himself on the back and get on the news. If he weren't the superintendent the schools would have been built back and probably better. If he cared about the kids, yesterday would have been a normal school day. They do have to make up the days they missed from starting late, but we can waste a whole day of instruction on this nonsense. I'm sick of this administration! It's not about the kids...it's about them. Always has been. I wish we could clean house at administration. Get rid of all those worthless people and hire more people that actually work with students.

To Anonymous 11:42, I am not sure exactly how you would put a photo on here, or even if you can, but if you have something, you can e-mail it to me at rturner229@hotmail.com. Thanks.

Thirty seconds after he started choking up during his speech I started my exit from the site. I can't stand the whooosie. Did you see the Globe's photo of him being consoled by Biden right after his speech?

I mainly came to confirm the attendance of this farce was way over estimated beforehand and then what pisses me off more is all the wasted parking space for the event taken up by that stupid ribbon and the exaggerated security area that was cordoned off.
