Aurora sex offenders arrested while looking for house to rent in Jasper

Two weeks ago, Brian Wayne Haley, 51, Aurora, arranged a sexual encounter with a 14-year-old girl in Springfield, according to a probable cause statement filed in Lawrence County Circuit Court.

Early this afternoon, seven days after a warrant was issued for his arrest on a felony charge of sexual enticement of a child, Haley was in Jasper trying to find a house to rent.

Haley will not be moving into Jasper.

A Jasper Police Department news release said it was made aware of the presence of Haley and James Haley, 72, Aurora, also a sex offender with a rape conviction on his record, during a traffic stop.

The officer made contact with the driver, James Haley and the passenger, Brian Haley. They gave a story that they are looking for a house to rent in Jasper. They are from Aurora. When asked why they are way up in Jasper looking for a house, no reason was given.
James is a non-compliant sex offender.

Brian was arrested on a nationwide full extradition felony warrant for “Enticement of a Child for Indecent Purposes."

The probable cause statement in Brian Haley's Lawrence County case says the Aurora Police Department was notified Haley had been in contact with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl named Bethany:
Bethany is a decoy account for 417 Predator Hunters, based out of Spríngfield, MO. Bethany was identified as B.A. In the messages Bethany clearly states she is 14 years of age. Haley requests Bethany to flash him her breast on Skout.

Bethany asked Haley what they would do if they were to meet up. Haley stated they would sit, talk arid smoke. The conversation continued with Haley offering Bethany drinks presumed to contain alcohol.

Haley arranged to meet Bethany on 12-22-2019 in Springfield near Walmart, located at 2825 N. Kansas Expressway, Springfield, MO 65803, at approximately 1345 hours.

During the conversation via Skout, Haley again asks Bethany to show him her breasts, to prove she is not law enforcement. Haley stated to Bethany, she would love it if he gave her oral sex and that she could play with his penis.

Haley arrived at 2825 N. Kansas Expy, Springfield, MO 65803 to meet Bethany at approximately 1350 hours. Another group member took a video of the meeting with Haley.
