Government asks for Diamond man to be held without bond on sexual exploitation of a minor charge

A 10:30 a.m. February 3 detention hearing is set in U. S. District Court in Springfield for a Diamond man charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.

The initial appearance for Terry Lee Miksell, 63, was held today with a public defender appointed to represent him.

Miksell was charged Tuesday following an investigation by the Southwest Missouri Cyber Crimes Task Force.







The Diamond man allegedly exchanged sexually explicit Facebook messages with a 16-year-old girl.

Miksell acknowledged the messages to investigators and admitted that he got "carried away."
