(From the Carthage R-9 School District)The Carthage R-9 Board of Education met in special session on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, 5:30 pm, at Carthage Junior High School. Present were Board members Lee Elliff Pound, Niki Cloud, Bill Lasley, Karen Wilkinson, Jeff Jones, Patrick Scott, and Ryan Collier. Lee Elliff Pound led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The Board approved a request from Rick Kennedy, Mercy Carthage Hospital Board President, to meet with the Board of Education to discuss statistics and information from the hospital and medical point of view.
The Board of Education chose Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 6:00 pm for the special board meeting. The location will be announced later.
