COUNCIL BILL NO. 2022-140

AN ORDINANCE approving a purchase agreement between the City of Joplin and Midwest Transit Equipment Inc.in the amount of Three Hundred Seventy-Eight Thousand, Fourteen and 00/100 Dollars ($378,014.00) for the purchase of three light duty cut-a-way vehicles with Americans with Disabilities (ADA) compliant lifts, on behalf of the City of Joplin and authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2022-143

AN ORDINANCE    approving an amendment (Change Order No. 2) to the construction agreement with Rosetta Construction, in the amount of One Hundred Sixteen Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-Six and 09/100 Dollars ($116,796.09) for the East 7th Street Sewer Extension Project; and authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2022-145

AN ORDINANCE declaring the necessity of acquiring for public use certain fee simple right of way and temporary easements for the purpose of street construction improvements associated with the 15th and Rangeline Intersection Improvement Project; authorizing the City Manager and his designees to negotiate for the purpose of acquiring the necessary interests in land; authorizing the City Attorney and his designees to institute condemnation proceedings if such interests in land cannot be acquired by purchase through good faith negotiations; and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2022-146

AN ORDINANCE declaring the necessity of acquiring for public use certain fee simple right of way and temporary easements for the purpose of street construction improvements associated with the 15th and Rangeline Intersection Improvement Project; authorizing the City Manager and his designees to negotiate for the purpose of acquiring the necessary interests in land; authorizing the City Attorney and his designees to institute condemnation proceedings if such interests in land cannot be acquired by purchase through good faith negotiations; and containing an emergency clause.

AN ORDINANCE authorizing the acceptance of an agreement by and between the City of Joplin and Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc., in the not to exceed amount of Five Hundred Twelve Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($512,000.00) for the Terminal Area Master Plan Design Services at the Joplin Regional Airport; and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2022-526

AN ORDINANCE    approving the Real Estate Contract by and between the City of Joplin, Missouri, a Municipal Corporation, and Ledford Construction, for the sale of one parcel located at 1101 East 20th Street, totaling approximately 11,400 square feet of land; and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2022-527

AN ORDINANCE    approving the Real Estate Contract by and between the City of Joplin, Missouri, a Municipal Corporation, and Ledford Construction, for the sale of one parcel located at 1201 East 20th Street, totaling approximately 17,530 square feet of land; and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2022-528

AN ORDINANCE    approving the Real Estate Contract by and between the City of Joplin, Missouri, a Municipal Corporation, and Ledford Construction, for the sale of one parcel located at 1405 to 1419 East 20th Street, totaling approximately 49,780 square feet of land; and authorizing the City Manager to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin; and containing an emergency clause.

AN ORDINANCE    amending the Annual Budget of the City of Joplin for the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 as adopted by Ordinance 2021-149 on October 18, 2021, to adjust appropriations and containing an emergency clause.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2022-006

AN ORDINANCE re-adopting Chapter 2, Administration, of the Joplin City Code, Section 2-107, "Financial interest disclosure", requiring certain officials and employees of the City of Joplin to file Financial Interest Disclosure Statements as described herein.

2.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2022-144

AN ORDINANCE    approving the City of Joplin to enter into a construction agreement with D&E Plumbing and Heating Inc., in the amount of Four Hundred Eighty-One Thousand Five Hundred Sixty and 00/100 Dollars ($481,560.00) for construction of the 7th and Canterbury Stormwater Improvements project; and authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the same by and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

COUNCIL BILL NO. 2022-608

AN ORDINANCE approving a Contract by and between the City of Joplin and PGAV Destinations to complete a Museum Strategic Plan Study; authorizing the City Manager to execute said Contract by and on behalf of the City of Joplin.

In today's Joplin Globe - it was mentioned that the current annual budget funding for Joplin Police & Fire (from all sources) is 51 million dollars. That is an incredible amount of money. If the sales tax had passed - add another 9 million to the 51 million.

The 51 million $ for the budget for Police and Fire should have a line item explanation in the budget documents. In addition it would have the source of the funds and the expenditures.
I would definitely like to study that if anyone could source it.
