During an August 2 closed session, the Joplin R-8 Board of Education hired four teachers and hired former Crowder College president Glenn Coltharp as interim principal at Royal Heights Elementary.
The four teachers hired were Jessica Faucett, Jennifer Russell, Karen Secrist, and Julie Thongsavanh.
