(From Joplin Schools)

Joplin Schools is pleased to announce Bre Faircloth as the new Principal at Royal Heights Elementary.

Mrs. Faircloth served as a first grade teacher for six years at Webb City Schools, and was the assistant girls’ basketball coach for nine years. Upon joining Joplin Schools in June 2022, Mrs. Faircloth served as Assistant Principal at Irving Elementary.

A Webb City High School graduate, Mrs. Faircloth earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Missouri Southern State University. She also holds a first through sixth grade teaching certificate, and received a Masters of Science in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.

“It is my absolute honor to become a part of the Royal Heights family,” said Mrs. Faircloth. “I
look forward to building relationships with the students, staff, and community members. I know there are amazing things happening at Royal Heights and our team will continue to build on those things.

"I also want to express gratitude toward my Irving team. They have been completely supportive of me and have made me feel welcomed. I am eager to get started in this new position.”

“Bre has done a fine job this year as assistant principal at Irving Elementary,” said Joplin Schools superintendent Dr. Kerry Sachetta. “Her approach, ability to build relationships, and instructional focus has served her well in her career. We believe Bre will be a quick study at Royal Heights and hit the ground running on her first day.”

Mrs. Faircloth will begin at Royal Heights in January 2023, and succeeds Dr. Glenn Coltharp, who has served as interim principal since August 2022.

“We also want to thank Dr. Coltharp for serving our students and staff since the beginning of this school year,” said Dr. Sachetta. “His leadership was important during this transition.”

Mrs. Faircloth has been married to her husband, Christopher, for 12 years. They have two sons, Jett and Baker.
