(From the Joplin Police Department)Today we had the pleasure of recognizing Officer Jake Reed and his family as we dedicated the 20th Street bridge in his name.
The bridge is now officially the “Officer Jake Reed Memorial Bridge."
Today's ceremony was marked with the formal tribute and dedication of the bridge, along with the presentation of the Joplin Police Department Medal of Honor.

Thanks to President Obama who made this bridge funding possible by signing it into law after it was passed by a Democratic Congress!
