Robert Allen Byrd, has a problem with stealing and alcoholism - maybe some time behind bars and rehab will give him a better outlook how important your freedom is. I would question how Target consistently let him walk out the door after stealing backpacks and liquor on multiple days, shows an extreme lack of security inside the store. So, this situation should send a message to all, If you steal you are going to jail and for Target to beef up your security and stop these thieves in progress.

Dumbass, they purposely let him steal till it got over the felony amount. Then turned him in.

Target and Walmart both have facial recognition and keep cases on you. It’s not the easy times of the past. They will wait and build big cases and get warrants etc. it’s all over YouTube. Terrible idea at this point.

11:24AM and 10:57AM, The Entire Blog can hardly wait for either of your SMARTASS COMMENTS - If anything they probably started reviewing previous security videos, once they caught him on video stealing, to see if he had done it before - they were not purposely letting him steal to get to a Felony Charge - How Dumb can you be... The Manager said let everyone steal to they get upto a Felony Amount - OMG - What a DUMB Comment - Do you believe everything you watch on YouTube - Basement Dwellers.

I'd rather sit in court watching a prosecutor present a charge for a Class D felony with these facts rather than watch a Class A misdemeanor.

Target apparently took the time to be sure they had a case that would stick. That's good.

" beef up your security and stop these thieves in progress"

What could possibly go wrong if Target's policies allowed or required retail employees to stop criminals in the act?

Target has obviously sucessfully stopped at least one alleged criminal here, and Target has done it without risking injury to their employees or customers.

8:11AM, I would say it is time to get a life if you find your thrills sitting in court watching and grading courts cases, Class D felonies vs Class A misdemeanors, maybe it is time to examine things or find a hobby.
