Wasab Steakhouse & Sushi fails Joplin Health Department reinspection

Wasab Steakhouse & Sushi, 101 N. Range Line, failed its Joplin Health Department reinspection June 16, according to information posted on the department's website. 

Wasab Steakhouse & Sushi failed an inspection June 4 with six priority violations and nine core violations.

The June 16 inspection revealed one priority violation and four core violations.

The priority violation was for having potentially hazardous foods in the salad display cooler being cold held above 41 degrees.

Core violations were noted for the following:

-Bowls were left in food storage containers and used as scoops.

-The door to the walk-in freezer was damaged

-Damaged FRP in the dish area

-Lights in the bar and kitchen hoods were not functioning
