The Barry County Prosecuting Attorney's office filed statutory rape and statutory sodomy charges against an Exeter woman who allegedly committed the crimes with a boy less than 17 years old.
The arraignment for Brandi Ranae Thomas (DOB 1999) is scheduled for 9 a.m. November 12 in Barry County Circuit Court.

On September 21, 2026 Brandi met me at the Barry County Sheriff's Office for an interview. She
was read her Miranda Rights and made the following statement.
Brandi admitted V1 had stayed the night at her residence on the night of September 4, 5, 2026.
While V1 was staying the night at Brandi's residence she had touched V1 penis in an inappropriate gratification way. She described it as "jerking V1 off".
Brandi then stated on the night of September 10, 2026 she went to V1 residence and had sexual intercourse with V1.
Brandi stated this was consensual and it was her idea.
