Carthage man sentenced to four years on weapons charge

 Jeromy Michael Daughtery, 32, Carthage, was sentenced to four years in prison today during a hearing in U. S. District Court in Springfield.

Daughtery was charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm following a September 2025 traffic stop by the Carthage Police Department when he failed to signal riding a bicycle.

He was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and resisting arrest in Jasper County. The federal sentence will run concurrently with any Jasper County sentence.
