Crowell: explains drug testing for public assistance bill

In his latest Crowell Connection, Sen. Jason Crowell, R-Cape Girardeau, explains his bill which calls for drug testing for those who receive public assistance:

My goal in the General Assembly is to make sure your tax dollars are being spent wisely. I explain how my sponsored Senate Bill 602 does this in my continuing video series on keeping

your state government spending accountable to you. This bill will create a program to test welfare applicants and recipients for drug use. By ensuring that public assistance money is spent only to help families get back on their feet, this is one way we can bring accountability and oversight of the spending of your hard earned tax dollars.
