Americans for Prosperity to hand "yellow pages" to Missouri legislators

More news from those who want to privatize all of Missouri's governmental functions, with the end result of enriching the few at the expense of the many. The following news release was issued today by Americans for Prosperity Missouri.

Today Americans for Prosperity MO launched its Path to Prosperity project at the Missouri State Capitol.  Americans for Prosperity is Americas leading grassroots organization with over 2.2 million members nationwide and over 55,000 members across Missouri and in every county.  APF-MO unveiled its comprehensive policy document called the Path to Prosperity today at the capitol.  The Path to Prosperity document is a project that takes a comprehensive approach at legislation in 9 key policy areas designed to create an economic environment in MO for long term sustainable job growth.
The nine policy areas include: Prosperity & Freedom, Tax Reform, Education, Spending & Budget, Patient Protections, Energy, Regulatory Reform, Privatization & Municipal Reforms, Worker Freedoms.  For more information on our Path to Prosperity and what our members have prioritized for the 2014 legislative session please go to www.moafp.org.
This Week, AFP-MO will highlight its first of nine Legislative areas – Prosperity and Freedom by delivering 200 yellow pages to State Representatives and State Senators at the MO Capitol.  AFP-MO wants lawmakers to review state government priorities by applying the Yellow Pages Test:  “If it’s in the Yellow Pages government should consider not doing it.”
The Yellow Pages test helps government concentrate on delivering "inherently governmental" services -- those that should be performed by public employees, like public safety and judicial systems -- while contracting with businesses and nonprofit organizations for other services.
