C. J. Huff on Friday inspection failure: We weren't aware that document existed

The only reason C. J. Huff told KZRG that the new Joplin High School/Franklin Technical Center did not fail an inspection last week is because he was unaware that it failed.

Huff just told the hosts of KZRG's Morning Newswatch, "We weren't aware that document existed."

Don't they post those inspection reports at the building site?

That's why they say, "Do Not Remove This Notice."

The headline should read "C.J. Huff lies about inspection". He said the building didn't fail the inspection because evidently he wasn't aware that the inspector leaves a paper trail. Just another shining example of incompetence from Mr. Huff.

I wonder who the "we" is that didn't know the document existed. Somebody accompanied the inspectors (Mike Johnson, maybe) so if "we" didn't know the document existed maybe "we" should check Johnson's trashcan.

Mr. Turner was able to post a copy of the failed inspection document fairly quickly.

If Huff was not aware of such a critical document, what other critical documents is he "not aware of?" Is this the first building that has ever been inspected by the city of Joplin for the school district? So, out of all of the people in an admin position, no one knew that building inspectors leave forms?

Things C.J. Huff isn't apparently:

1. Smart enough to know that building inspectors give grades just like teachers.

2. Smart enough to know when he is making himself look dumb and dumber.

3. Old enough to remember how Richard Nixon helped sink his own ship with his own prevaricating denials.

Does he also have a problem with people telling him things he doesn't want to hear? It might be that, or it might be that he is so surrounded with that people who are afraid to tell him what they know he doesn't want to hear.

If the superintendent who has made great effort to associate himself with the high school doesn't know that the high school failed inspection, doesn't that suggest that he isn't really that good at his job? I understand that he would rather appear incompetent than a liar, but neither is a particularly good look.

"We weren't aware that document existed."

Gosh! Shazam! Golly!

I don't know nothin' 'bout no documents, no sirree, nothin' at all. Ignorance is bliss, isn't it? If only it affected the ignorant alone. Unfortunately, it is hurting many people in this instance.

So, it's ok to lie as long as there's no proof? Get this guy outta here!

In all seriousness, What does it take to remove a superintendent from office? He needs to go.

So we are told that "We weren't aware that document existed."

Are we to believe that if the Joplin High School/Franklin Technical Center had been granted a Temporary Certificate of Occupancy that they wouldn't have known about that document either?
