The Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney's office filed a felony driving while intoxicated charge today against at Joplin man with six previous DWI convictions.
Kevin Lee Weaver (DOB 1969) was also charged with driving while revoked and failing to maintain financial responsibility.
The Carthage Police Department stopped Weaver this afternoon at Central and Clinton on a Bates County warrant and for driving while revoked.
From the probable cause statement:
Weaver was taken into custody for the warrant as well as driving while revoked. During a search of the vehicle, a burnt marijuana cigar was located in the drivers door panel.
Once at the Carthage Police Department, I observed the following in standard field sobriety test (0HGN, 8WAT, 2OLS). During One Leg Stand, Weaver did it for 18 seconds and then said that he was not able to perform the test.
During the Romberg test, Weaver estimated the passage of 30 seconds in 17 seconds. Weaver was not able to provide up to date insurance.

I am requesting the issuance of an arrest warrant based on the following:
I believe that the defendant will not appear in court in response to a criminal summons because: Weaver has been arrested for fail to appear warrants. I believe that the defendant poses a danger to a crime victim / the community or to any other person because: Weaver has a 72-page criminal history that includes charges of resisting arrest, possession of controlled substance, driving while suspended/ revoked, stealing, forgery, DWI, and fail to appear warrants.

He must have one great attorney!
Wow 72 pages all the DWI’s and everything else.
Not to worry. Our incredible judicial system will have him back out onto our streets before the Easter bunny is done delivering eggs.
This man must have pictures of someone important doing something so bad
In Jasper county you don't need an attorney to get a slap on the wrist for DWI, heck they might not even charge him! Watch case net and see.
WOW - Kevin Lee Weaver is the definition of - SOFT ON CRIMINALS - Our Judges, Prosecutors, and even the Jurors - Do Not Realize that this Person as well as other Criminals - cannot be REHABILITATED - No Matter what all You Liberals Think - - We have got to STOP with the Slaps on the Wrists, the Deals, and Probation - and Hand Out Sentences that Protect the Citizens from being the Victims and/or Losing our Lives to these People who continually Fail to Follow the Laws, Rules and Guidelines of our Society.
So, Just Remember - You, Your Family, or Your Friends could be the Next Victim or Casuality of these Criminals.
