Racist flyers distributed in Joplin; police investigation underway

Social media posts were filled Saturday with Joplin residents who received unwanted racist flyers in their yards. The flyers offer a link to a website that promotes neo-Nazi and antisemitic propaganda.

The Joplin Police Department is conducting an investigation into the source of the flyers.

A few hours ago, the Joplin Police Department issued the following news release:

On Saturday April 19, 2025, the Joplin Police Department became aware that multiple people in the community found flyers containing white supremacist content. The flyers also included a QR code which links to a website.

The Joplin Police Department is not going to share images of the flyers, however, we advise the public against following the QR code on the flyers. The flyers also included references to a known white supremacist and anti-Semitic group.

The Joplin Police Department is actively investigating to determine who distributed these flyers in our community, and we will be cooperating with federal law enforcement agencies as appropriate.

If you received a flyer of this nature, please notify law enforcement, as we are also trying to determine which areas of town received the flyers. It should also be noted that some flyers were found inside plastic bags.

If you find such a bag, the Joplin Police Department, out of an abundance of caution, strongly advises that you not open the bag, but call 417-623-3131 so law enforcement can retrieve the flyer.

At this time, there is no evidence that any particular individuals are under specific or immediate threat in association with these events. If you have concerns, please contact the Joplin Police Department and an officer will respond.

Group? Website? So far nothing but speculation.

How about waiting for the investigation to reach its conclusion before throwing blame?

To most people, voting for President Trump meant voting for a better economy and a stronger national presence. To group us all as hate-filled racists is unfair and irresponsible. I know of no Republican in my circle who is a White Supremacist or who wishes ill on anyone else, and the people who are would not represent the majority of Trump supporters. Goodness, people, in the words of Rodney King, “Can’t we all just get along?”

FYI the flyers were about the murder of Austin Metcalf and simply said "Protect our Children".
They were extremely tame. The only reason it is in the news is because Whites aren't allowed to stand up for themselves in this country anymore.
You can find the flyer on GTVFlyers.com

Unbelievable! Keep sticking your gullible head in the sand 1236, 1237, your "magat utopia" is an abomination on humanity. Ask anyone not white or heterosexual, and you'll find hate, discrimination, and suppression. You also might want to take a week off from your Faux News to see how the other half of the country is mobilizing and rising up against your cult.

Does it ever get tiring supporting racists?

So we are relying on Police to make the judgement call, Didn’t they have a sniper kill a kid? Sounds like we are policing the first amendment, now that’s scary…..

The group that put out the flyers hates Trump, so you have that in common with them 😂

1258 is obviously enamored with the magat way of disinformation. To conflate hate towards the orange master with hate towards people of color is nothing short of all-out ignorance on the part of 1258.

"Whites, the class with all the power, money, and privilege, cannot stand up for themselves". LMAO. It's quite telling that you capitalized whites.

"Oh no the poor oppressed Whites"... Get real.

Jon Minadeo does not live in Springfield, he lived in FL and is now apparently in Arkansas.
