Holiday Inn Route 66 Pub & Grill fails Joplin Health Department inspection, 6 others pass


The Holiday Inn Route 66 Pub & Grill, 3402 Arizona Avenue, failed its Joplin Health Department inspection today while six other establishments passed inspection Thursday and today, according to records posted on the department website.

Route 66 Pub & Grill had four priority violations, according to the report.







-Employee drinks were were observed on preparation tables in the kitchen.

-Expired milk was found in the kitchen walk-in cooler

-Pasta salad in the walk-in cooler had missing or improper date marking

-Yogurt, cut tomatoes and salsa in the kitchen cold holding bar were being cold held above 41 degrees.

Other violations recorded included the following:

-A wiping cloth was seen lying on the preparation area above the kitchen reach-in coolers.

-Panko crumbs in the dry storage area weren't labeled.







-An accumulation of ice was building below the fans in the walk-in freezer.

-A utensil used for cleaning food equipment was stored in the hand sink adjacent to the grill.

Regal Northstar, 201 N. Northpark Lane

Walgreens, 2001 S. Main

Jimmy John's 407 S. Range Line Road

Aldi Food Market, 2630 S. McClelland Boulevard

Dollar Tree, 426 S. Range Line Road
