Globe finally mentions awards

It took the Globe nine days but it finally ran an article in today's edition about the awards it received at the annual Missouri Associated Press Managing Editors (APME) contest.
It's still hard to understand how the newspaper can wait more than a week to write about its own news. However, Globe editors did not consider it to be good enough to merit a place on their website, so I will not be able to provide a link.

Speaking of Globe running late news...Today's Globe mentioned jump in gas prices to $2.49 per gallon. Well the couple of places I frequent, have been at that price for some time now...In my opinion this is not "new" news, just telling what we already know.

Randy,

Perhaps it's some new-found restraint in patting themselves on the back. Let's give them some credit. Many papers would have made it front-page news!
