Tony Messenger, whose columns and lively blog have made thought-provoking reading for the Columbia Tribune, will take over as editorial page editor of the Springfield News-Leader Monday.
I am looking forward to seeing what changes he makes and how he stirs things up in the Queen City.

Being originally from Columbia, I am also anxious. Some in Columbia could barely handle what Tony wrote, he will probably make heads explode in Springfield. He will bring a much needed perspective to SPringfield.
The News-Leader obviously believes in a paper by the editors, for the editors. Forget that Messenger doesn't have a clue about what is important to the N-L's readers and Ozarks residents.
