Member of Newell Rubbermaid cabal lands new position

Kelly Terry, one of the group of Newell Rubbermaid/Sharpie siphons who helped paved the way for O'Sullivan Industries' extinction, has landed a new position.

Terry, who was brought to O'Sullivan as senior vice president of operations, has been hired in the same position at Overhead Door Corporation.

He's shown that he's trained in liquidation.

Reminds me of my cousin who became trained in closing railroad offices. He spent quite a few years moving to one office after another for the express purpose of closing them.

Kelly Terry was just a part of the O'Sullivan problem that started long, long ago.

The vanity of that group never ceased to amaze me. I can almost see joining the initial group when the pied peper came on board. He was going to lead the company to the promised lad. But after it became evident that he was not a savior (including a $100 million decline in business in the first 18 months, massive overhead from adding all the sharpie sycophants in Atlanta, the mounting evidence that desks and pens were not the same product (duh!), the updated (and more expensive) sales force that coudn't find its rear with a two hand head start, and finally, the bankruptcy, what made him think this was not the inevitable conclusion?

Words cannot express the contempt that myself and many others have for this person.

Be interesting to know who the other "stupidest" mistakes were.

Sounds like a real compassionate man! Honestly, though, I would guess he was in a no-win situation there. I just can't believe he thought that he could turn it around.
