The Carthage, Mo.-based manufacturing company is shutting down four of its 14 store fixtures facilities as part of that strategy, a spokeswoman for the company said.
The Chicago Heights location operates under the Morgan Marshall Industries name.
“It’s part of our efforts to improve profitability and capacity utilization within the store fixtures unit,” she said.
The store fixtures unit, which makes shelving, display racks and kiosks, represents about $500 million of Leggett & Platt’s $5.5 billion in annual sales. After the restructuring, the store fixtures unit will represent about $400 million of annual revenue.
