Former Bank of America vice president released on bond

A federal court judge set a $65,000 bond for former Bank of America Vice President Robert Conner, who was found guilty earlier this week of bank and credit card fraud. Conner was the mastermind of a plot that allegedly also involved Rep. John Bowman, D-St. Louis, who is expected to go to trial on early 2008.
Judge Henry E. Autrey required that the bond be secured by real estate, according to court documents. Other conditions of Conner's release were not included online.
Conner is scheduled to be sentenced during an 11 a.m. Feb. 20 hearing.
