Hughes book available at For-All Bible Center

Lamar R-1 school nurse Nancy Hughes' first book, Healing for the Heart: A Guide to Survival in the World of the Widow, is available at For-All Bible Center at Northpark Mall in Joplin.
The book was written after Nancy's husband, Leroy Hughes, died, and deals with testimonials from Nancy and women she interviewed about how they dealt with widowhood and what can be done to help others who have lost their spouses.
I picked up a copy at her recent signing in Lamar, and it not only is an absorbing, well-written book, but it is one that fills a niche that has been neglected by authors.

Nancy, as I have mentioned often before in this blog, was one of the columnists in the late and lamented Lamar Press, a one-year experiment that lasted from the summer of 1996 to just before the summer of 1997, and was the only columnist who was published in each of the newspaper's 49 issues.

Healing for the Heart is a book that could make a touching and useful Christmas present.
