Lineup announced for Joplin's third conservative talk radio station

The following lineup has been announced for 1230 AM, "The Talker," when it makes it debut Monday, Aug. 3.

-Rick and Bubba, 5 to 8 a.m.
-Laura Ingraham, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
-Dr. Laura Schlesinger, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
-Dave Ramsey, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
-Dennis Miller, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
-John Gibson, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
-Dave Ramsey rerun, 9 p.m. to 12 midnight

For those who find John Gibson as insufferable as I do, the good news appears to be that "The Talker" will continue airing St. Louis Cardinals, Joplin High School, Missouri Southern State University and MU sports, which means Gibson will be preempted often.

Other than the sports, it does not appear "The Talker" will include any local talk programming.

Randy with your credentials could you find out the reasons why KZRG and the 1230 station will not have local talk? Yes, KZRG still has their morning show, but I wish the afternoon local talk on the station would have remained. Local talk, in my opinion, needs more airtime.

You don't have to pay salary and benefits to a syndicated talk show.

So 1230 "The Fan" is no more. Great. :( That will make Joplin even more unlivable.
