Missouri GOP issues statement on arrest of Democratic legislator

The Missouri Republican Party issued the following statement of the arrest of Rep. Jeremy LaFaver, (D- Kansas City).
 “Missouri Republicans are calling on Democrat Rep. LaFaver to walk the walk and take genuine responsibility by resigning from the Missouri House of Representatives. LaFaver has broken trust with the people by behaving with direct and open disrespect for the law and courts,” said Matt Wills, spokesman for Missouri Republican Party.
 No official statement has been released from any Democrat statewide elected official, the House Democrat Caucus, House Democrat Victory Committee or the Missouri Democrat Party.

Possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to appear on a traffic charge
