You can expect the Missouri Chamber of Commerce to strengthen efforts to convince the legislature to override Gov. Jay Nixon's veto of HB 253.
The Grow Missouri PAC, another group funded by retired billionaire Rex Sinquefield, poured $200,000 into the Chamber coffers Thursday, according to a filing with the Missouri Ethics Commission.
Sinquefield has put millions into the effort to override the veto. HB 253 calls for drastic tax cuts. Opponents of the bill, including Nixon, say it would dramatically cut the money available for education and other state services.
