Now, selected students from each school will attend.
The decision was explained in an article in today's Joplin Globe:
Spokeswoman Kelli Price said it would have been too difficult to accommodate and supervise the thousands of pupils who were to attend, particularly because part of the high school campus remains a construction zone.
Forgive my skepticism, but I am inclined to believe if the plan had not been revealed, all of the students would be there Friday. It was upset parents who reminded the Huff Administration of the problems that could occur.

I still think the whole idea is ridiculous. This should have happened after the high school was compete. My child will stay home tomorrow.
Keeping mine home also.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: Still fighting in the middle east.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: Still building the high school.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED: CJ is still here.
Why is he still here? Huff and the school board need to go! This entire district has never been in such a mess academically, financially, and poor weak leadership at all levels, a admin. Bldg. filled with wasteful salaries and a total lack of concern and regard for students, a self involved individual holding a title of leader. What. A complete mess.
