Joplin law firm providing free facial coverings to students, staff in 13 area school districts

Joplin law firm Johnson, Vorhees & Martucci is expanding its offering of free facial coverings to 13 southwest Missouri school districts.

As of a few moments ago, the list includes Joplin, Webb City, Carthage, Neosho, Carl Junction, Diamond, Seneca, East Newton, Westview, Jasper, Sarcoxie, Liberal and Golden City.

Additionally, as many as five Springfield schools are likely to be include.

Each of those school districts will receive face coverings for each student and faculty member.

In a Facebook posting Monday, the firm explained the offer.

This is not a political statement.

Wearing face coverings in public is a safeguard suggested by most scientists across the world to help reduce the spread of this virus.

As schools face the upcoming school year we hope these face coverings will allow our kids to be safe and show off their school spirit and unity.

In these unusual times, Johnson, Vorhees & Martucci wish to lead in making a positive difference in the lives we touch. Together, we can get through this.

The photos show what is on the facial coverings for the Joplin and Webb City school districts. Each facial covering is a continuous wrap, known as a "yowie" that on the Joplin coverings, for instance, would feature the eagle logo on the front and "Go Eagles" on the back.

Have your superintendent call the law firm. There is a good chance it will add your district.
