Joplin man pleads guilty to federal meth trafficking, weapons charges

A Joplin man pleaded guilty today to federal meth trafficking and weapons charges.

Nathan Scott Thomas, 41, was indicted by a grand jury for possession of more than 50 grams of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

A search warrant of his home by the Ozarks Area Drug Enforcement Team turned up the meth, plus a Ruger LLP .380 caliber semi-automatic pistol and a Jiminez 9 mm. semi-automatic pistol.

U. S. District Court Judge Douglas Harpool ordered a pre-sentence investigation. No date has been scheduled for the sentencing.
