Judge David Mouton will issue an arrest warrant for former Sarcoxie High School English teacher Baylee Turner if she fails to show for a 9 a.m. hearing Monday in Jasper County Circuit Court.
Turner, 25, is awaiting trial on a felony charge of sexual contact with a student.
Mouton made the threat after Turner failed to appear for a March 29 hearing. She was represented at the hearing by her attorney Brian Glades. Turner had also been a no-show at an October 13 hearing.
Online court records indicate Turner also skipped hearings August 3, June 15, March 9, 2020 and February 3, 2020.
Her last appearance at a court hearing was November 25, 2019.
Turner was bound over for trial after waiving a preliminary hearing May 9, 2019.
Turner, who was in her third year with the R-2 School District, allegedly had sex with a student at her home sometime between January 14 and January 21, 2019, according to the probable cause statement.Turner resigned February 12, 2019 and the R-2 Board of Education accepted her resignation the following day.
Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) records indicate Turner's teaching certification expired October 13.

I don't understand why she's not already locked up in her bond revoked. She should have no bond after not showing up for court that many times. What a joke.
Surprisingly enough, it is far easier for a woman to disappear than it is for a man to disappear. Odds are, she went to ground as soon as she was charged and I doubt she will ever resurface again.

She's married to him AND has a kid??! Wtf?! And I tell you what, I missed a court date for a traffic ticket, I was promptly arrested, at my home. They came to my house for a $135 fine, but this predator can marry victim, have baby AND miss 5+ court dates?! This is our judicial system at its finest!!
