After confirming 85 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, the Jasper County Health Department added another 78 cases today.
Of the 78 cases, 60 were people below 50 years old, including 47 between the ages of 20 and 50.
Jasper County passed the 11,000 mark in COVID cases Thursday, with the total at 11,157.
The county has recorded 169 deaths. The statistics do not include the portion of Jasper County that is located in the Joplin city limits.

It's a mixing pot of viral infection and evolution.
