Sarcoxie man sentenced to one year, one day for failing to register as sex offender

During a hearing today in U. S. District Court in Springfield, a Sarcoxie man was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for failure to report as a sex offender.

Jacob Zuber, 33, will be required to self-surrender to begin his sentence April 13. After he has served his time, he will be on supervised probation for five years.

Zuber had lived in Jasper and Lawrence counties since 2016 without registering as a sex offender. He pleaded guilty May 21, 2008 in Lincoln County, Oregon to two counts of sexual abuse in the first degree involving a female under the age of 14, according to court records.

They should've just put him down. Seriously a child under 14 years old. He should be put down.. To think someone got with him and is going to have a child with him. Nasty pedophile probably never told the female about his history.
